To make your Birthday Party go off with a bang, bring your group to Explosion and experience the exciting range of activities and events on offer to make your child's day special. Birthday parties can be held at Explosion for groups of at least six children and although members of staff do not lead parties, they are always on hand to help or answer any questions you may have. A Birthday Party at Explosion is about much more than just visiting the Museum. Parents can choose to include a number of additional activities to make your child’s birthday party one to remember.
The Museum can also allow use of a particular area of the Museum to host a Birthday Tea or Lunch. This space will be decorated by Explosion staff and is an ideal place to host party games and activities. All Birthday Parties include the opportunity for the Birthday Boy or Girl to fire the Museum Saluting Gun (conditions apply).
Explosion Standard Birthday Visit - £6.00 per child, this includes: -
• Admission to the Museum Galleries.
• Customised Birthday Trail (includes ‘Hunt the Mice’ Activity Sheet and ‘Giant Board Games’).
• Museum Guidebook.
Optional Extra’s
Birthday Tea - £3.00 per child, this includes: -
Use of either the Museum Boardroom, Education Centre or Coffee Shop to host a Birthday Tea.
• Basic ‘birthday’ decorations in chosen area.
• Birthday Meal for each child – (typical example: Sausage Roll, Chips and Beans).
• Drink for each child.
T – Shirt Making - £3.00 per child, this includes: -
• One Plain T – Shirt for each child.
• Use Fabric Pens and Decoration Tools.
• Member of staff to lead session and ‘iron-on‘ designs.
Goody Bag for each child - £3.00 per child, this includes: -
• Loose Bullet
• Explosion Pencil

Bookings for Birthday Parties must be made in advance. A deposit of 25% of the booking total must be made to confirm a booking. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the museum. Supervising Adults are FREE, a minimum of two adults must stay with the party at all times.
