We can offer exclusive rights to the museum's stunning new displays and the spectacular Grand Magazine for your special event.

This magnificent 18th century brick vault was originally used for storing barrels of gunpowder and now hosts an impressive audiovisual experience, which you can offer to your guests. From banquets to receptions to product launches, up to 150 can be accommodated in the Grand Magazine.

Personal guided tours of our unique collection - big naval guns, small arms, mines, torpedoes, missiles and even the atom bomb - and the fascinating story of the men and women who supplied the Royal Navy for 200 years, can be arranged to complete the Explosion! experience.

Special Events

Explosion! is ideal for staging Christmas parties, PR launches, themed events, fashion shows and photo shoots.

We can arrange the whole event for you or advise on a variety of services from catering and flowers to staging and entertainment.
 
Steam Pinnace at the Camber dock at Explosion!
Arrive in Style
 
Arrive in style for your private party, launch or wedding in a full size working Victorian Steam Pinnace.  The Steam Pinnace is a unique vessel and is loaned from The Royal Naval Museum at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.  The Royal Navy brought it into service in 1880 when the Admiralty of the day feared a silent raid on the Fleet at anchor by French torpedo boats.  You can hire this to arrive from Portsmouth right into the nineteenth camber dock at Priddy's Hard.
