Historic Bus service confirmed for 'Spirit of the 40s'

77 on way home ltb 16The Museum is pleased to announce that an Historic Bus Service has been agreed for 'pirit of the 40s'. The vehicle will operate an hourly service from Gosport Bus Station to the end of Weevil Lane thorughout the weekend on Saturday the 2nd of April and Sunday the 3rd of April. The vehicle, built In January 1958 by the Reading Coach Works at Hilsea, to what was essentially a late 1930s appearance. It was a dual purpose bus and coach, designed to look like a coach but having bus seating used on both Island Coach Tours and Regular Bus Routes.

This service is FREE for all visitors.

2nd of April, pick up from the Bus Station at: 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm.

3rd of April, pick up from the Bus Station at: 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

The service will run directly to the end of Weevil Lane leaving a short walk across the Millenium Bridge to Priddy’s Hard. A return journey will depart from the same position, at the end of Weevil Lane, 15 mins before each scheduled stop at the Bus Station. Please telephone 02392 505600 for more information.
