Explosion - Museum of Naval Firepower

Gosport’s flagship event this year is Celebrate! Gosport: a fortnight’s programme of events and activities that celebrate the best that Gosport has to offer: an opportunity for residents to discover Gosport’s cultural and heritage treasures. 

The event, running from 11th to 26th June, is being organised by Gosport Borough Council and will include Gosport's Big Day Out and many other activities. Visitors to the Museum can participate in the event, as Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum have joined up in partnership to offer local residents a special offer to 'celebrate' the occasion.

For £12.50 per person, residents can visit both museums and take a ride on the Portsmouth Waterbus. Tour the only surviving WW2 era submarine, HMS Alliance with a submariner, combine this with a visit to the 18^th century gunpowder vault at Explosion and a trip around Portsmouth Harbour. Ticket valid for 60 days from date of purchase. This offer cannot be used with any other offer. Tickets can be purchased from either Museum on the day of your visit between the 11th to 26th June.
