The Notice below highlights the upcoming temporary closure to Forton Lake Bridge.

Gosport Borough Council (Forton Lake Opening Bridge) Order 1999.

Notice of intended Works. 

Notice is hereby given that Gosport Borough Council intends to carry out essential inspection, assessment and replacement works on the lifting span of Forton Lake Opening Bridge (Gosport Millennium Bridge). During these works the lifting span will not be operable and navigation of the channel below the lifting span will not be possible. The bridge will also be closed to all pedestrians, cyclist and other traffic.

The work is to be carried out between the 17th and 24th of October All users of the bridge will need to make alternative arrangements during these periods.

Gosport Borough Council apologise for this unavoidable inconvenience to all bridge users.
