Home Museum For Hire Weddings The Ceremony

Ceremonies & Civil Partnerships

Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower at Priddy’s Hard in Gosport is licensed to host Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships.

Our Grand Magazine is an ideal setting to stage the whole event. This magnificent vaulted brick building, built in 1771, was once a Gunpowder Storage Magazine.

Wedding ceremonies can take place between 8.00am and 6.00pm and non-religious music of your choice can be played. Services are conducted by Registry Office officials, usually booked from the local Fareham office.

Your guests can arrive ½ hour before the wedding and stay afterwards to congratulate you both. The Museum can also help to arrange a Bucks Fizz or Champagne Reception within the Magazine. During this time the Museum galleries and surrounding green area’s can be used for photography.

For more information about these services please contact Wedding Enquiries or Phone 023 9250 5603.
